blitzkrieg. At first I used your rom. After flashing Windows defines it like Standard VGA Graphic Adapter. After after failing attemp of installing patched drivers it defines carg like quadro. Then I've flashed aquamac's rom with lower clocks. The result was the same - Standard VGA Graphic Adapter

Tea, I modified your rom, I left the memory underclocked and i didn't do any changes in fan settings.Try this one please  Attachments:

Tammat, the best bet, is to modify your rom to quadro, it seems that your card in not a reference 8800 gt one, so the bios mod is a little trickier to do, not impossible.I saw that Aqua's bioses are for reference cards, we, the-not-so-lucky guys, have to dig deeper to make the biosmod work properly.Let me know if you want me to "dig"deeper in your rom  |

still nothing... loaded into windows, installed it's drivers, restarted and then went black. At least we're on the right track though

you, teanotes and tammat have the same cards, one 512, one 1024, even the bios is identical.If i can manage finally to make one work, it will be much easier to make the second one ;D

wow, this time my monitor turned off and I had to flash my original rom without it. And when I loaded Windows it identified my ORIGINAL rom like Standard VGA Graphic Adapter

I just noticed something, not sure if it's worth attention or not but hey... My card gets recognised as Quadro FX3700 in safe mode (i bet in windows too if i could only see ANYTHING!  ) it shows as quadro in gpu-z, in everything i use... but when i boot normally, hello standby. This is frustrating, even more frustrating since i don't know how or what to edit in order to try and fix this myself. (i'm usually a DIY guy...) |

it's hard to edit the bios in a hex editor if you did'n do it ever.You can try something to prevent the standby thing:use a vga adapter for the card, plug your monitor cable into the card in the vga slot.I think it will work this way, but this would not be a viable option in the long run.
