I finally finished the stainless parts for my last Hackintosh mod! WooHoo! I have fitted the vented bottom plate, but still have to fit the back plate shown here: Shown below in position: and finally the milled out bottom plate in position! Can't wait to get the back plate fitted, I am desperate to use my external Sata and USB 2 sockets.

Very nice, Aqua. Did you do the machining yourself? If so I need some lessons ;D Those are top shelf bits to be sure. Keep it up and can't wait to see the completed assembly.

Thanks for your comments guys, cant wait to get out that dremmel! Yes, I did the work myself (that's why it took so long!) I have not decided yet whether to leave them natural stainless steel or whether to spray them with aluminium paint to perfectly match the Mac Pro case. Looks like it will have to wait till the weekend till I have some time!

Joe,
Retire, no chance - it's the only thing that keeps me sane!!!!!! I was referring to the last mod that I never quite finished. Work keeps getting in the way! Still can't complain, there are a load of people out there at the moment that would be glad of a job!!
dmkf,
I am happy to upload my "technical drawing" although it is of the f*g packet variety as it was only done for myself to follow.
It was not to difficult, but time consuming and took many lunch times + a few hours at the end of each day over a period of weeks. Drilling all the holes in the bottom panel made me go cross eyed for sure.

Lol,
Yeah, that's why it took so long! I guess I was fortunate that we have a good pillar drill at work.

That he Has Joe, But you're quite the Modder Too Cheers Pal, I'm a padawan not yet ready for the trials.. LOL... I was inspired by Aqua-macs G5 case mod.. Until I saw that i hadn't even touched a PC for years.. i was happy with my retail macs.. I gutted my attic and built a OSX hack from old parts and started planning my MacPro. But like Aqua said.. they never seem it be complete.. Always seems to be something else I'd like to do. J
