It has been quiet huh... I think this crunch issue is putting alot of side projects on hold.. I've hit a wall.. my HackPro isnt finished nor is my QuickSilver and as for my Cube, not sure when/if ever that'll get done (want an ION p-ITX board).
hows yours looking?

I am on hold too. The second cube is in building, missing some parts. The hack is pending, still to finish the acrylic panel for the opening door and the copper tubes for the LCS. The second Hack is pending also, cause I cannot find a good iso to install, have already tried four different. And I cannot build my own DVD on the MDD with Tiger. Still smiling

Been a bit quiet here too as I have been concentrating on work big time, trying to keep the firms head above water. I have been doing some hacking with Snow Leo 10a354 though and am happy to say the latest release is really stable and took less hacking than normal on my system. I literally only had to add 64-bit dsmos.kext & a special Chameleon installer that I have made and bingo. AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext now works fine with Core2Quad/Duo on my board as does Vanilla Mach_kernel. So good news there.
I am still considering my options on my new Tri card G5 Installation, but should get there eventually.

As for me, I haven't had the money lately to do any work on my hack. I want to get a waterblock for my 4870x2 and a new radiator, but other than that, I can't really think of anything else to do to it. I mean, it's full of four hard drives, a dual core GPU, and fast quad core CPU, and cooled pretty well. Not to mention, it looks quite stock inside, so what else is there? I never thought I'd say it, but I'm actually running out of ideas.
That said, I would love to put together a Hack Mini with an ION/Atom 330 setup. Unfortunately, not only does Newegg not have the Zotac dual core board yet, but I have a feeling that it is going to cost a lot more than I want to spend. I'd really like to have an Intel based hack, but honestly, they make it too d**n expensive to do. I'm also not sure that I want to do the Hack Mini thing as I want to build an FTA DVR box, which will probably be mATX and include a couple Genpix Skywalkers. I could get the external Skywalkers and still have the Hack Mini, but I'll have to go with a LGA775 Mini-ITX board as the Atom certainly won't have the power to process dual DVB-S tuners. I can only guess that it would even fit in the Mac Mini enclosure, but Apple somehow managed to fit it in there.
Anyways, I'm still trying to get a real job after graduating, so this probably won't happen for a good while. This recession has really hindered the search.
