Well guys its been long I last contributed to the community, well I am still part of this community, so for the new year (2009) I have decided to do another Hack Pro mod. I just ordered a mac pro case from Scrumpymac and guess what!, --the case came with everything. the only thing I have to look for is one more optical drive bay to cover the power supply. also I have to get a PCIe Firewire 800 card. Ok here we go: some images before I start my thing.

Nice case, looks like you have a full house there, memory cage, fans the lot. What motherboard are you going for?

I am not so sure Aquamac what board would you recommend at present. I was thinking of doing an 8-core system, but again I am not sure if any Xeon boards will be compatible with boot 132.

Very nice! all of that came with the case? score! I'd go i7 Netkas has posted some bench's from i7 OSX hacks.. look very nice.. pick up a Asus P6T Deluxe, drop a i7 920 in there 6gb DDR3 and OC to 4GHz on Air! thats the rig I'd have..
Cant wait to see what you do with it.

@ Macbookjoe, Yes all came with the case. I think i7 would do but that will mean i have to sell my Q6600 on my g5 mod. have you got a link to the bench's from i7 OSX hacks. I guess I have to check that as well.

Very nice man. I'm glad you found a nice case. I suggest keeping your worklog in this thread and posting your pics of the final product (when it's complete) in the thread I started for a picture gallery. Mine is getting a little lonely in there.
Good luck with it man.

That is a BARGAIN!! In total i paid way over 200 quid for my case set up... Case= 100 RAM cage = 50 Front Fan bracket = 50 CPU cover = 20 and a faulty PSU set me back 40. thats 260!
DO they have more???
I'd like to chop the bottom off one and the top off another and make a bloody tall Mac Pro.. give a MacPro 7 PCI slots, room for 2 PSU's and 2 dual 120 RADs.
