My Hackie was working great and then I decided to add some 4gigs of OCZ gold RAM (Side note, intel said "That (OCZ) ram is not listed as 'Intel tested RAM' you should not be using it"). After the I installed the new RAM couldn't get bugger to post. I swapped out the new RAM and it still would not post... I set everything to default and still wouldn't post -- I would either get 'not able to post error' or I'd get past the motherboard splash screen and then see the text 'EB' then it would simply freeze. I tried to flash the bios in recovery mode, but It wouldn't flash (even took out the CMOS battery for 15mins). I tried forcing the system to pick a device to boot using F10 -- it freeze on 'EB' again.... to make a long story short... my board is not working (well I guess it could be the processor too? Let's hope not)... The good news is -- Intel will take RMA... the bad news is... I'm out a machine until the replacement arrives! --- Bummer... What a X-mas gift...

This might be just out of the ballpark, but you said you pulled the CMos battery for 15 min. Did you place the CMos jumper to the other set of pins? Also known as clearing the CMos. Most of the board i have seen, they have a set of 3 pins and the jumper sits on pins 2 & 3, resetting the CMos by putting the jumper on pins 1 & 2. I'm not saying that you haven't done that, but alot of PC's that come to me for fixing, that's the first thing i look at.

Yep, the 3 pin bios setting is for actually going straight to bios mode, or normal boot mode -- It there's no jumper connected it's set up to do recovery bios mode in which you can have a formatted CD-ROM/USB or FLOPPY with a replacement bios to reflash the system. I tried that, but that didn't work either... well the motherboard has been shipped and hopefully I'll get it soon enough... Thanks for your suggestions...
