So following on from psystar, this is another commercial venture riding on the back of osx86. Except this one apparently has the "blessing" of netkas.
Not sure how I feel about this. Not great I guess.

Well, if this is true, it would be alot easier to install on regular hackintoshes and make that step of having OS X on regular PC hardware that much simpler. I remember trying to get Tiger running on an SSE3 intel chip and i was having issues left right and center. If this works, people like me would be greatly appreciated.

Cant really see how much better it will be over a stable running x86 install. The ease of it sounds good.. We'll see....
I think Snow Leopard may end up being a X86 capable release... Its my theory as to why Pystar still trade... I think on some leave.. the X86 community its doing alot of the leg work for apple...There are alot of users running OSX86 on many different hardware configs and its the cumunity of X86 developers that are making this happen... there work is freely available of the internet..
so with OS X 10.6, Apple just need to nail down what has been achieved so far... set some parameters... say... limited GFX card support... AMD X2 or INTEL C2D only CPUs. not making it available to vendors.... so no Dell OSX PCs and so on.... just off the shelf business.. I dont believe that it would even hurt Apple Hardware Sales... if you want a new PC and your looking at OSX86 as your prime OS buy a mac.. they are the best made and best looking computers on earth.... for those who want to toy with hardware... OC..... play 3D games and be the nuts in the rose bush... we can have Snow leopard 10.6 X86....
Mehh...
Just my thoughts...
Joe.

They'll never do it - Apple Sell Computers. This EFI-X thing makes me really uneasy. If it delivers on the hype, it will make installation of OSX86 an even easier proposition without any hacking required. This will increase in the number of OSX86 PCs "out there" dramatically. Sooner or later, Apple will take notice and do something about it. And to me, this one has "Russian Mafia" written all over it too

There is no way in hell apple will officially allow osx on pc. Apple are primarily a hardware company, the software is used to entice people to switch platforms, not to sell by itself.
