So i just built a hackintosh, installed ipc 10.5.6 pff5 and now i would like to know if I can get software updates. i checked plenty of forums and they make no scene to me.
components: GA-MA78GM-US2H Athlon X2 2.8Ghz 4 GB RAM 4X SATA HDD SATA DVD

With hackintosh, most updates will break your install. I always found it is best to clone your drive and reinstall Chameleon to the new drive. Then install the update on that drive. You will then most likely have to copy over any specific kexts to your trial drive from your original. Always have a trial drive, you never know when you might need it. As you have an Athlon processor you will also have to look around to find a fixed "Mach_kernel" for which ever update you are about to install.

And do you use osx86 tool utility to make it work or are you using the terminal. I download the the utility cuz they say its easier but there's no good guide's out their

Sorry i read that osx86 tool utility helps you update, but i haven't found a guide on how to do this. Is their a good guide how to update hackintosh
