Pins on Mac Pro (08) Power Supply (how to test?)

Hello,

yesterday I got a Mac Pro with some hardware left in it and now i would like to test the power supply.
Any idea how i could manage that?
Also i want to build a PC into the housing and it would be nice to use the original supply if it worked, so it is necessary to change the plugs to fit into ATX standard.

I am looking forward to any help from you!

I think its best to disassemble the original Mac Pro PSU and use its case, fit in an ordinary PSU in there.
