good morning forum, i have some strang issues with my PNY 8800gts 512 (g92) graphic card. normaly it works good, even 3d power is good, (qe and ci seems to work, topbar is transparent) but when i try to change resolution or shutdown i just get a blue screen with a spinning cursor. (seems like mapping is is missing) if i click on "turn off" the screen turns blue and the pc turns off after 15-30 sec. at resolution change the screen turns blue and stay blue until i restart. i use the master dvi port of my card, it´s connected with a HDMI adapter to my HDTV (1080p resolution works) at the moment i use chameleons graphic enabler, but with efi strings i get the same problems. i already tried this nvcap stuff, without success

Hi Ceos,
Are you using 64 bit OpenHaltRestart.kext? If you are not then I suggest giving it a go. Also, if you are using someone else's patched DSDT.aml that can cause problems too. Is your card dual DVI? If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to chip in.

Thank you for your quick reply,
I´m using 64 bit OpenHaltRestart.kext, but i even have this problems with 10.6.0 and 32 bit version of the kext. I use my own patched DSDT.aml these are it´s fixes:
-pciroot -SATA as integrated -sound without kext -usbsleep -cmos -power button
the card is Dual DVI, but i use just one (the master port) dvi to connect it with the help of a DVI-HDMI adapter to my TV
update: same problem With EvOreboot
