Hi Aquamac,
Been along time since I had the money to make another Hack, had to sell everything due to Bills.
I just got a New Dell Inspiron 15 ( 1545 ).
Right now I'm trying to help with the GMA 4500 Project over at insanelymac, Currently I'm stuck with no display after I get the Framebuffer loaded on my LCD, However I can boot my LCD if, and only when I Connect a second Monitor up ( TV in my case LCD* )
This from me is only Possible by hitting the "FN" "Display" selecting the Second Monitor, once My TV is selected I boot with the Following command, -v -f.
Once it goes through the systems checks, it will Auto-Switch to my Laptop Display after hitting the Blue screen.
Over at insanelymac, they suggest it could be my EDID not being set correctly, or not being detected at all for my LCD, but since my TV is Close Screen Res. that is could be pulling the EDID from it, thus allowing the the auto-switching to the display on my Laptop...
I know you have great knowledge is Video cards, and was wondering if you could help me setup my EDID for my Laptop display, it's been a very long time since I've played EDID, and to be honest I can't even remember how I did it now.
Any help or advice would greatly be helpful from anyone as well.
Thanks, -OMN

Wow GMA 4500, thats a tricky little number! Are you using some version of Natit or are you just using basic VESA mode? I don't have a lot of experience with Intel graphic chipsets to be honest, but I think people are getting closer on this one.
I guess one way to get this going is to connect the external monitor to get your laptops display on, then use IORegistryexplorer to collate the details of your monitor, then inject them with the "device-properties prefix in your com.apple.boot.plist.
