Hey Guys
I've installed OS X on my hack via the retail dvd method using a modified Boot 132 disk. r=everything works fine except for when the system has to boot I haft to always choose the start up hard drive. When I used a patched dvd I never had to do this the boot loader would automatically boot into Leo. Is there a fix for this? As of the moment I haft to have a PS2 keyboard plugged into the back of my case just incase an update or something makes requires a reboot in order to choose my HD. I want to solve this issue as I'm trying to place my Hack in a Power Mac G5 case w/o altering the case by cutting it. If this can not be resolved or worked around I'll haft to cut the back of the case, something I just do not want to do.
Thanks in advance thesportsgeek

do you mean the bios is asking you to choose a startup disk or leo? I am assuming the bios is because you have a ps2 keyboard plugged in. If so probably just need to change the boot sequence in the bios.

No its not the bios. Everything goes fine until I get to this boot screen which sates:
Darwin/x86 boot v5.o.132_dfe_r1146_Chameleon_pre 8190MB memory Vesa v3.0 14MB (NVIDA)
Use keys to select the startup volume hd (0,2) Mac OS X
Press Enter to start tup Drawin /x86 w/ no options, or you can ..................(list of other options)
This what I get every time I boot up. It looks like my Darwin/x86 has a problem.

Searching around the web I saw this picture on this site www.macftphttp.serverbox.org/wiki/index.php/Darwin_Bootloader which says the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist should look like this ........... My .../com.apple.Boot.plist looks like this.......... What is that long string number?I wonder if I edit my .../com.apple.Boot.plist to say the same as the top pic the system would boot as it should. Thanks thesportsgeek

That was the problem. I had to edit the com.apple.Boot.plist and now my system boots up as it should. I might be getting the hang of this after all.
Thanks thesportsgeek
