Hi All,
I am a new member of this forum, but have read many postings. It has been very helpful in addition to Aquamac's specific drivers and support.
I am looking for any suggestions on how to get QE/CI working on my NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700 in my Dell M6400 (See below). I get native 1900x1200 resolution, but no hardware acceleration for CI and no QE supported.
I used the NVidia 9000 driver package from Aquamac (http://aquamac.proboards106.com/index.cgi?board=osx86driversandkexts&action=
display&thread=700), and the gfxutil for the Quadro FX3700 (512MB) from Aquamac as well (http://aquamac.proboards106.com/index.cgi?board=hack1&action=display&thread=509).
I Incorporated the hex.out string into my com.apple.Boot.plist as described by Aquamac (ditched my original NVinjectGo.kext) and all worked great except that QE/CI is not working and Dual monitor detection freezes computer. I changed the VRAM to 1024 MB and that seems ok (see below).
When I run OpenGL Extension viewer it reports that Open GL is fine (Passes all tests) but only using The Apple Software renderer (pathetic FPS rates as expected). Looking in the "Renderer Database" I see that there is no Renderer for the FX 3700, so does this mean I am out of luck? I tired to use the 9800 GT GFI string and 9800 M, but neither gave me QE/CI/Dual. I have made sure device ID info is correct in all HAL's ResMan, and GeForce Kexts. Does this mean I have to flash my ROm to get this to work. This is a new tri-boot machine (Win 7 Beta/Ubuntu/OS x86), so I am not too keen on that.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
