I have a
q9400
asrock P45r2000 wifi
4 gb ddr3
9800Gt geforce
I used your bios and everything is ok, it's very fast
but in active monitor i can see only one core and in about window-hardware there is a message error
can you help me?

What is the message error? Do you mean your processor is reported as "unknown" in the about This Mac window or System Profiler?

In the about window/hardware there is an error is something like "there was an error and i'ts impossible to determinate ..."
in active monitor appears only one cpu graphic

Go here and download this zip file. Drag the System profiler file into your System/Extensions file and overwrite your current file, you will need to authenticate. Repair Permissions in disk utility. I also include an AppleSmbios.kext. right click on it and "Show Package Contents" then open the info.plist with text editor and change the details that are relevant to your system, this one is one I made that shows your system as a MacBook Air 1,1. This then needs dropping into your extensions folder to replace your existing one. You then need to repair permissions with this scriptLet me know how this goes. |

Can you take a grab of how you changed the info in the SMBios, maybe you added an extra space or something which would explain the longer boot time.
