Hey guys. Like many, i'm disappointed that new imacs weren't released at MWSF this year. I have been thinking, maybe i should build a hackintosh. I like the idea because of multiple reasons: A. Cheaper B. Already have a legal copy of leo C. Better graphics
but i really dislike the idea because of these reasons: A. Update compatibility B. no support from apple C. having to mess with all the kernel crap that i have no clue about. d. i love the actual physical asthetics of imacs.
So far the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages. Anybody got an opinion on what i should do.
BTW: I need a new mac soon because the imac i have has a faulty graphics processor (it overheats easily, i might replace the thermal compound) and is on it's last legs.
P.S. It needs to be a mac because of my web design apps (coda, textmate, cssedit, etc.)
