You don't say if you installed the 9000 series kext installer here, but if you did not you are wasting your time. 10.5.5 does not support your card and these drivers will at least recognize your card. Follow the GFX strings walkthrough on this forum and you should be able to get your card working.

You could always download OSX 86 Tools from PCWiz. That will automate GFX strings to a degree, just in case you do something wrong.
OSX 86 is not an exact science. It took some of us ages to get stuff going and graphics are the most difficult and hardest to troubleshoot. I had a 8800 GTX FOR 2 MONTHS BEFORE I COULD GET IT GOING. Your device id is in my drivers so it should work, but laptops are notoriously difficult. Did you try connecting a second screen to make sure the picture is not being output to that.

Well if it worked through another monitor that would tell us that things were at least partly working. If we got that far then it would be worth messing with nvcap to get the main laptop monitor going. Did you try Skippy retards alc888 download?

from insanelymac forum :This is a really simple tutorial for getting 16:9 widescreen resolution for OSX86.
I have tested this on Kalyway 10.5.2 ONLY and I'm not sure but it will probably work with previous versions as well.
You don't need any kext or modify existing ones. I did a fresh install and tried it just to make sure.
Basically, just go to the BIOS (to access BIOS, you have to press... delete or . key... or was it F2?? I forgot, try them all!) and look through the pages (I think it's page 2) until you see LCD Expansion option.
TURN IT ON! (I hated it because it made some stuff really stretched out)
Then save changes and reboot in OSX.
Go to System Preferences and Display, and you should see 1366x768 support now.
Hope this helps. Thanks!
but i don't have this option in my phoenix bios....may be there is an utility to set this?
