Here it is. . . shame the photos are taken with my iPhone.. its looks great in real light.. it also needs a clean. A view of the loop. (Res) . . . Water blocks (cant really see them huh) . . . . . . . . . . . . Just gotta hope I've not knocked anything lose when fitting the remaining hardware.. Would hate to wake up to a puddle. What do you think? J.

WAAOOUUUWW!! :oMan you kill me here. What the ... triple fans cooling on the top !!! You moved them from the back, didn't you ? That's great !! That's a BEAUTY. Congratz!! ;D Thanx bb, I'd originally wanted to put a double rad in the fan fan bracket and a single in the rear RAM cage.. but it was a toss up between looks and proformance. I'm running at 4.11ghz 24/7 stable and with the thermochill triple rad D-Tek v2 and MIPS NB and PWM blocks my loads are very nice.. Idle at 28-30 under load 35 (ish) I still need to put it through its paces.. That design was always how I'd intended.. I was thinking of rear mounting it as i was unsure about all the bulk heads I'd need to use to do it the way i have.. Its Noctua fans from top to bottom eight in total and they are all near silent.. All i can hear is my AKASA exhust fan (when on high) the pump and my veloraptor HDD. I'm very happy with out its turned out.. I'll put up some more photos soon.. and i'll upload my log and my how-to over the next couple days. J.

Hey Joe, looks great. I think it's funny that we both went with the XSPC res-top without even talking about it together. I changed from my Danger Den top that made a horrible racket at full speed. I'm also surprised that you went with a top mounted rad. I would have figured for aesthetics that you would have gone with a rear mounted one like I did. You'd be amazed how strong that back panel really is. I recently finished my newest setup and will be updating my pictures soon. It took me a long time to get the wiring hidden well, but I'm very happy with it. I had to wait over a week for a new motherboard to come in after my DFI board failed. I tried to use a voltage divider circuit connected to the variable output on the fan header, and it fried something. This gave me a lot of time to get the wiring right.

aquamac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hack1&action=display&thread=460&page=30I put up a quick walk through. . . Yeah the XSPC Seemed to be the best option I knew that I wanted to mount it there and yet needed as big a res as would fit. Its sat on a Anti-vibration plate with is mounted to the base of the case of 4 rubber feet (screwed down) it make no vibration noise just the sound of its little motor spinning round. I went with the top for two reasons, One I wanted it on display i wanted a clean cut and great finish look, I went with the best components ya can get and so wanted them to be in the best place posible. Two, Air flow, I have my 9800GTX folding 24/7 and before i fitted the TT cooler it was kicking out 80'c if i were to mount on the rear that would have been alot of hot air blown over the rad. Also cos i went with the PA120.3 is a double pass RAD and HUGE!! My desk would not have been big enough! :-P Plus.. you'd already done it I wanted to do a way no one had.. Like had done with the Apple stock insides (CPU cover, RAM Cage, Fans ect). Its not finished yet. I have another MacPro side door which is being cut to create a shroud around RAD/FANS to make it look like an Extreme Apple Extra or something. I'd love to see how yours in coming along? share a few pics. J.

You gotta get this featured in a PC mag or something!!!!!! Why thank you very much. ;D. I'm trying to get it into CustomPC but they have changed how you enter... i have to write a build log on bit-tech.com.. Think I'll give it ago mind. . . I really need to find a way of cleaning the Alu with out stripping it the bare Alu that makes up the frame internally is oxidizing and looks poor.... I was very close to having the whole thing power coated. But i feel with a shroud around the RAD it'll look very APPLE. J.
