So i burned out the motherboard to my new Mac Pro 8-core, but it's covered by my Apple Care Plan. The funny thing, the techy they sent for the on-site repair didn't even know how to disassemble my system! So I ended helping with a lot of changing out of the parts. Almost have a brand new built system after she was done. Everything was replaced except for the superdrive, power supply, front chip controller for the pwr button, and harddrive.
Gotta love Apple <3

Wow,
How did that happen? Glad you got it fixed anyway and that you had onsite Apple Care Plan!!!

For awhile now my system wouldn't boot unless i held down command + s. Then maybe 5 days ago it just gave up on me finally. I paid 100.00 for the protection plan when i first bought the system which saved me a little grief. Anyways, the system would get the blackscreen of death then randomly worked at times. When it did work the usb, firewire, bluetooth, would be unusable. Once I finally booted into the system and had the mouse and keyboard functioning (would work if i disconnected the system pwr and let it sit for 30 minutes), it would let me control the system for maybe 5 minutes then freeze. The temp of the components were fine, nothing was overheating issues.
<took out some personal comments because i was sorta pissed at Apple at the time i wrote this) ;p
