There is now rudimentary support in 10.5.5 Nvidia kexts for the 9800 GX2. It does not really change much though, still does not want to boot from PCIe slot 1. Card still has to go in slot 2.

I've been thinking about installing the new kexts and framework as per this site: scottdangel.com/blog/?p=30Wonder if there are any performance gains to be had for other mainstream cards...?

Certainly improved the performance of my 9800 GTX. Frame rates increased around 10 %. Apparently, the new drivers do not work with Nvinject or Natit, you must use GFX strings.

I might give it a try - I haven't been overly impressed with the performance of the 8800GT compared to my previous 7600GT (and 7900GT). For example, performance of Open GL based X-Plane flight sim is still better in Linux than it is in Mac OS right now.
