I've been browsing the forums looking to see how people did with getting the components of the front panel to work, and it seems like in some threads the verdict is you can get everything working and in other threads it seems like firewire doesn't work. However, I haven't seen much in the way of a how-to or tutorial on the subject.

What's working/ what doesn't work in the Mac Pro front panel for hackintosh mods?

I have everything working - no problem. I don't have a walkthrough though. I put up drawings here at the bottom of the page. For sound you will have to do trial and error, but your motherboard guide should be a good source for that.

wow, i actually saw that diagram before but did not get all the information it was conveying - sorry about that. i feel pretty dumb now
