Just wondering if you could use the application iDefrag on your Hackintosh HD w/o any adverse affects to your set up?

Bigger question is, why would you want to?

I'm just trying to get a heads up on this Mac stuff. I know w/ a PC you would need to defrag every once n a while to keep the system running at top performance, especially the HD's. I guess you do not need to do this with a Mac or Hack. That also probalbly means there is no need for a Antivirus/ Spyware program as well, right?

IDefrag is only good if you have about 70% HDD, or you have multi-file of say video, or large MP3 rips. I use IDefrag 1.6.6 and seems to work great, the biggest thing with IDefrag, is you need a second HDD ( bootable ) to do a full de-fragment, or you have to do the ( on-line ) defrag, still works good and very fast.
But, everyone thinks mac's don't get fragmented, they're wrong. Say you d/l a bunch of big files, then open the .dmg, install, then either move to another HDD to save, or delete it. I wasn't surprised to see mac, just like windows get fragmented as well.
