I recently aquired an PC with these components and i'm wondering if they will jive nicely with Tiger or even Leopard. ASRock P4I65G motherboard Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz 533 cpu 2x 512 MB DDR-400 Maxtor 80 GB IDE Generic DVD drive IDE EVGA 7600 GT AGP 512 MB 450 W power supply D-Link DWL-AG530 wireless card. I have checked the forums on insanelymac and some have said the motherboard does work but some work is needed. I'm more worried about the CPU since it's not a Pentium Based chip. Here are some info pics for you.

Hi,
The graphics card will probably cause a kernel panic as it is a 512 mb if you install natit or nvinject or GFX string. It will need flashing to fix - if you send me the rom I can fix it for you, then you can flash it back on.
Don't know about the cellory, if you have a retail disk, give ritalins v10.2 a shot.
Regards.

Ok, if i flash the video card, would it still work with windows? Would it still be a 7600 GT 512 MB? Since i was thinking of having the second hard drive with XP on it for PC gaming. Or if i install OS X, am i SOL?

Don't worry, the card will still be fine in windows as I only change part of the rom that windows ignores but OSX needs to be correct.

Alright, well, i need to know how to extract the rom and then put the new one on. Or is it the same process for flashing cards to a mac?

Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. This tells you how to save the rom and reflash it.

Well, i used the modified rom that Aqua sent me, and here is what i encountered...
Loaded into dos with the boot disk, used the newest version of nvflash i could find (5.63) and used the proper flashing instructions. -4 -5 -6 -j gt.rom. Ok, that went well, and then i loaded into windows. I got a new hardware found message and it tried to reinstall the nvidia drivers. I told it no, uninstalled the drivers, rebooted and reinstalled the newest nvidia drivers. Now here is the fun part, i could not get a mouse, it looked like a sparkle set of dots and it wouldn't load the drivers right. Um, ok, that was weird, so i did the process all over again, uninstalled drivers, rebooted and reinstalled. Now i got 640 x 480 by 4 bit colors and still a speckled mouse. nothing i did would get past that. Alright, now i have made a decision on using a different video card for my hackintosh related used. No more 512 meg cards. So i put back the backed up rom and now windows is acting properly with no speckled mouse, no distortions of any kind and everything seems back to normal. I guess that means i am destined to by an actual Mac Pro if i want an Intel mac in the house. And i will look at this experience and laugh, because i did think it was funny on how windows didn't want to play nice with a new piece of hardware.

Weird, certainly have never come across that before. You are sure it is 512 mb.

well, it must be something in the rom, because i flashed back to the original rom and my mouse is back. hmm, my computer is an anomaly *edit* this is the exact card that i have. Maybe this will shine a little light on why this card is having some issues e-GeForce 7600GT Superclocked 512MB DDR2
