I am starting this thread to create a place to specifically track B&W G3 hackintosh mods. The B&W G3 case makes a great looking hackintosh enclosure for a variety of reasons.
1) The B&W G3 case is a classic good looking Apple case that will give your hackintosh a unique Apple flavor.
2) The case can be easily found and purchased for less than $100 online.
3) The case requires no altering or cutting to fit standard parts for a microATX hackintosh easily.
4) The back I/O port plate is simple to unscrew and remove making it easy to fit any microATX motherboard with a custom designed I/O plate that can look almost stock.
5) When completed the case allows for extremely easy access to the motherboard, so further hacking, upgrading, or repair is not discouraging.
I will be posting ideas about appropriate hardware and also links to pictures and information that will help empower anybody with information that can help facilitate a B&W G3 hackintosh project.

To start a successful hackintosh mod using an Apple case it is important that you have accurate documentation of the hardware involved. Here is a link to download the Apple Service Source manual for the B&W G3.

The Service Source manuel will provide you with plenty of take apart walkthrough pictures with which to plan your B&W G3 hackintosh mod. Keep in mind that you have to download all five .rar files to decompress the entire manual. I suggest hackers take a look at this manual before starting on a hackintosh mod with this case.

The service source is a good place to start; however, ultimately you will want to take a look at the pictures posted in threads of B&W G3 hacks that other people have successfully attempted. Below are some links to the best threads I have found as of yet that have excellent project pictures and explanations of their work.
