Woo Hoo Got DUAL 9800 GTX working!

Been working on this for a while and I finally got it to work. Dual 9800 GTX 512 Graphics cards working in a hackintosh. I did it using GFX strings that I made for 2 cards. I could not get it to work with NVInject. Actually in the end, it was not that difficult when I thought about it logically. I wrote 2 input files individually for the two cards and their positions in the motherboard, then amalgamated the two input files together, then ran GFX strings.

So 4 monitors anyone? It works fine with with an SLi bridge fitted too, so for all those who want to maintain their windows setup, without the tedious need to swap hardware every time they boot OSX, they can.

Yes this is in the Quicksilver as it has 2 PCIe slots. When I have tidied the "less than permanent" wiring to the 2 cards power supplies, I will snap some pics.

I know what you mean my friend - no one does a M-ATX with 2 16x slots! The cards will not give SLi under OSX - that is not possible. But there is now the potential to set your cards up as SLi, use as SLi in windows and run 4 monitors in OSX with SLi bridge still connected and no kernel panics. There would have to be some pretty amazing software written to get actual SLi in OSX. Still, I am looking forward to wiring up more permanently when I get back from work tonight!

Nice one.... there is still hope mind you.. DFI are rumored to be releasing M-ATX SLi & Crossfire boards based on the Intel P45 chipset later in the year... lets hope they do! love my 9800GTX and have 2 would be unreal!
