I installed Windows Vista on my Quicksilver with the Quad SLi 7900 GX2's which can be seen in the Hackintosh thread. Downloaded graphics drivers, got everything working, then activated the OS with a new disk that I bought that day - So far so good. As that system cannot currently accept a DVD drive, I disconnected it closed the case and booted the system again. Only to be told that I had 3 days to activate windows. When I tried to activate again, I was told that the serial was already in use on another computer. I re-plugged the drive and no activation was needed. If windows throws up it's hands in horror at one single hardware change, this really defeats the whole purpose of a desktop system, which is supposed to be upgradable surely! My intension with this system is to fit a laptop drive like Ritalin did, I already have one and have ordered an IDE convertor to enable it's fitment. It will be interesting to see what windows makes of that. In the end, I may remove the graphics cards, slap in a single card and turn it into another hackintosh which is less agro and use it at work!!!!!
