Hi Everyone, I bought a Mac G5 case a while back and was wondering if anyone can help me solve this problem I recently found out the ground on the firewire works for the power button and so I used that ground for the Front Panel and Led only lights up when Im held onto the button. Then I tried using that same ground for LED and Lit Up without power button being held so I think the Firewire Ground is Used for both Power Button and LED, So is their a way to split the ground to work both on LED and Pwr or is their another ground for LED. Thank you

Hi there and welcome to aquamac forums!
If my memory serves me right, I used the ground -ve and the +ve from the motherboard front panel pin connector for the power switch and the +ve from the led pin connector only. So you only need to connect 3 wires. I am sure I got this working before I ever touched USB or firewire. If you can get the power button functioning and then introduce the single led +ve connection and it does not work then you might need to reverse the polarity of the power button connection.

Ok so I have tried everything by switching power and ground switching led and power tried every combination only was is by keeping pwr where its at and putting ground wire next to led, but then cant turn off and on my system, so if I tried to split ground into to different wires would that screw up my board, because Im going to try that and see what happens thanks

Hi,
You should not screw your board - I tried all kinds of combinations when I started trying to find out the right one, including many wrong ones and did no damage.
