Joe, Been beta testing an installer that has netkas' kernel on it. If all goes well I'll post back with the results. Third times the charm ;D

O.K., It works on the GA-G33M-DS2R but it's kinda slow. By that I mean the after selecting restart you will get the spinning gear for about 10secs before tthe whole shut down/beep/restart cycle. Other than that no issues that I can see!
Cheers, Nik

Yes, Restart/Shutdown also works perfectly for me too on my GA-33M-DS2R. There is also the sleep version now and this allows full sleep functionality on this board. As Nikon says, it seems a little slow to shutdown but it always works. This is such a relief, I got quite fed up holding that button in when in a hurry!

I installed the Netkas REBOOT fix off the IRC channel and that seems to be working.... i say seems as Reboot works (slow like you said) but shutdown seems to work 9 times out of 10! I also installed MacDotNubs AppleSMBIOS rev3 kext that address App issues.. in hope it will solve my problems with Toast.
