Hi, I have been interested in the X1950 Pro which is exactly the same as the OEM X1900 GT Mac G5 Version, well thats what the Specs say. They are only different in the Clock Speeds and Memory Speeds.
Saphhire X1950 GT RV570 Chip. AGP Clock: 500 Mhz Memory 1200 Mhz (600Mhz)
Sapphire X1950 Pro RV570 Chip. AGP Clock: 580 Mhz Memory: 1400 Mhz (700Mhz)
ATI X1900 GT RV570 Chip. PCIE Clock: 575 Mhz Memory: 1200 Mhz (600Mhz)
I Guess that the G5 X1900 Card uses the same Chip, the RV570 and maybe the same Memory as the Sapphire Cards mostly they have Samsung Chips. And Original Mac Cards also mostly have Samsung. I have the PC Roms from all the Cards, I don't however have a X1900 Mac PPC Rom. I have the Intel Roms but they wont work as reference since they are EFI. If anyone has the MAC G5 X1900 Card, then could you download the ROM from the Card and post it, I want to check if there similarities to the Software. Also for G4 compatibility I use the X800 Rom for reference. It may work if the PCIe Rom could be Modded for use on AGP. I'm not worried that the Voltages could be somewhat different. Again they all use the same chip.

I have just compared the Mac Pro EFI to PC Sapphire X1950 GT Roms. The similarities are amazing. they are basically the same, only difference is the data fork size. Only thing is getting the Mac PPC Rom from PCIe to AGP, and the Device ID's.

Just downloaded the G5 X1900 Firmware Update and I'm not able to open the resource.data file thats found in Intsaller package. It's 8.5 megs big and seems to hold the .kext files, ati display control panel and the Rom. Which version I dont really know but I assume its version 109. I have seen that someone offers flashed version of the G5 X1900 GT Card on ebay. In the description he says that the latest firmware is 109. Has anyone a clue how to retrieve the data from the .data file. I dont a own G5 or PCIE Machine. Also the referemnce Design of the X1950 Pro and X1900 GT/XT PPC & Mac Pro are all identical, I strongly belive that they just control all the different features through the Rom like the X800 series. I'm thankfull for all the help I can get.

Here are some nice photos of the PCIE X1950 GT Card. The X1950 GT/Pro use Dynamic Voltage Control. AGP 8x/4x (0.8/1.5V)
