Hi,
I want to connect the power-LED light to my Gigabyte G33 DS2R - by the way everythings working thanks to AquaMac!
The powerbutton was no problem but what do I do with the Power LED now? I know it´s the 8th hole on the small mac pro front board - but which wires do I have to connect to get them on my three pin connection on the motherboard? I´m pretty sure this is obvious for most for you - but then please give me a hint - thanks!

Hi mogwai77,
You need to feed power to the front board to get the power light to work. I seem to have lost the picture of the front panel connections for the mac pro case, do you still have them?
If your board is inverted as it would be in a mac pro case, you only have to connect two wires to the actual GA-33M-DS2R board. One is for the power switch and the other is for the led. The 3V+ power is supplied via tapping in and connecting to the PS motherboard PLUG, PIN 1 Orange wire (top right on an inverted board). You also need to supply power to the front panel board. Can you post the FRONT PANEL PINOUT PIC again to help another guy out?
The connector on the GA-33M-DS2R for power switch is PW+ and for the light, is MSG-
The Orange 3v connection is also required to get USB & FIREWIRE working.

Thanks for asking for that Aquamac, My PSU and new Mobo arrive Monday! I've just cut out the rear plate in a slightly different fashion to that of yours.. Looking forward to getting the front board working fully.
For a moment i thought I'd have to sell my MacPro case... damm DQ6...

Here is the front panel pinout for the mac pro, kindly donated to me. I made this from Mogwai77's pic, never to be lost again!! Here is the connection for GA-33M-DS2R: Here is my not so well honed USB schematic!
