With all disappointment with people with 'older' Mac Pro not being able to use the 8800gt... I was wondering if anyone was able to hack a PC card to work on a Mac Pro?

I hacked a 7800 GTX to work as a Quadro FX 4500 for mac pro only so far. There are roms for 512 and 256 GTX's for download on my website.

Hi. Is a Rom available yet to use the 8800GTX in OS X on an Early 2008 MP ?. I have flashed the 8800 with a Quadro 5600 bios rom from the repository and that works fine in Vista, but i would like to keep the card in for OS X. I have searched around and found a rom that flashes the card to FX5600 with EFI, but the screen is broken up in Win and OS X once the card is in graphics mode (wrong mem size ??).

No, I have the 64 BIT late mac pro one like you but would like the early mac pro one if it exists.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like a genuine QFX5600 is the only answer at the moment then. A great forum by the way, a lot of useful info within.
