Hey Thanks a lot Aquamac, I tried it and I am sorry to say that didnt work too well. Still the same problem, have to unplug it and plug it in again. Then the bluetooth starts up, what is strange though is that I had it on the side hub like you see on the picture, during the boot sequence you see the green led in the dongle flashing which means it is activated, just before the screen goes from the grey apple screen to the desktop it stops flashing and has to be manually activated.
Maybe this gives you some other ideas?
Let me know, cheers mate, Plucka

Just an idea, my airport went on the fritz a while ago, it needed reconnecting every time I booted as it forgot the network. I used c.ocktail and deleted Extensions.mkext in System/Library. You need to reboot after that. When you delete Extensions.mkext, it will rebuild in front of your very eyes - takes about 10 secs. Try doing this without c.ocktail first and reboot, let me know.

Hey,
I just realised that if you type c.ocktail, the forums changes this to thingytail. I was trying to read my post above and it made absolutely no sense!!!!!!
I meant you to try c.ocktail. lol.
