Well, i have been reading and this is the info i have found so far...
That's an iso I made for my own use. the kernel is Toh kernel 9.1.0. It's 32bits until a kernel allow to boot without "-legacy".
The DVD is patched to run on your PC, all installation packages are originals (except MacOSXUpd 10.5.1 which needed to be repacked) and patched automatically in the end of the installation process. Darwin bootloader is installed at the very end. (See FixLeo.pkg)
Only English and French are available. Gutenprint Printers Drivers and drivers for Geforce 8800GTX/GTS(NVinject 0.1.3) are available too.
It runs fine on the following machine :
- Athlon 64 X2 4200+ S939 - ASUS A8N5X NForce 4 - 4 x 512 MB DDR400 - Maxtor 250 GB Sata2 - Geforce 8800 GTS
If system freezes when you try to reach the net, deactivate dhcp and configure your interface manually. It seems to be because DHCP set 2 DNS servers (your router) instead of one).
1 - Download 2 - Burn 3 - Install 4 - Enjoy
Zephyroth.

Well, i got the install from Candles, and i don't know, maybe he burned it as an HFS+ discs because windows can't see it. Anyways, i also have the 10.5.1 AMD and when i boot from the cd i get the "Still searching for root device" from booting off of Secondary Master dvd and the hard drive is a PATA drive on Primary Master. What is going on? Is there some steps i can use to get around this? I would like to use verbose mode but it doesn't give me the chance. It comes up with the error even before i can run in -v mode. EDIT: Ok, i think i fixed the problem... Put in a new PATA hard drive, set that to Primary Master and took the dvd and put it on Primary Slave. I got alot of error messages saying that crucial extensions failed but it loaded. Then i tried to toy with the airport to turn it off anf i think i froze out the installation. But i rebooted and everything seems to work so far. I will keep everyone posted.

Well, it installed but then i got another error message saying something that it can't boot and failed. Um, ok, i will wipe the drive and try again. So far this does not look promising.

Well, it gets to 1 min left and one of two things happen. 1- It freezes and stops 2- it reboots and still doesn't recognize the drive that the info has and won't boot from it.

I have no experience with Leo and AMD but I suspect this is the main problem. Which DVD do you have by the way, is it Kalyway or Iatkos? I didn't know that Toh was AMD compatible?

Righty,
Just re-read that, sorry, it's been a long day! Should not be such a problem then. I have to say I always found Jas 10.4.8 to be fairly foolproof then upgraded to 10.4.9 & towards the end 10.4.10. Uphuck did not work for me either, although I am sure with some tinkering it would have.

The uphuck i got from candles didn't want to boot and that was 10.4.9 (recording media type error?)
The one i got myself was the Kalyway 10.5.1 This booted without a problem, but it had some issues when rebooting. I was able to install and almost finish, but then it crapped out.
So, for right now, i will hold off on the X86 project and concentrate on the actual mac running Leopard. Still have to fix the USB 2.0 problem, but that's for another thread.

Redd, Kalyway has pulled the "almost got there" stunt on me too. Gets to about a minute left and hangs up. Another try with the install has always been the fix for me. Give it another whirl and see what happens.
Cheers, Chris

Lol, yeah, i tried that. It was in a post i posted earlier. Well, it gets to 1 min left and one of two things happen. 1- It freezes and stops 2- it reboots and still doesn't recognize the drive that the info has and won't boot from it.
