Hi Kenji, Definitely the Gigabyte! It's the better board, but also, should work fine with OSX 86. You will want to go into the bios and set the HDD's to AHCI! Welcome to the world of hackintosh!

Thanks aquamac
How about videocards? Do I need to use those equivalent PC versions from G5 Macs and Mac Pro (PCI-e) or any videocards will work? So far the cheapest I know is the 256 MB 7300GT. Do I need to flash this with Mac rom? Thanks again.

No there is no flashing involved, that is the beauty of hackintoshes, you can use most video cards as they work with the original PC rom.

OK I got it aquamac, so I can use any PC videocards. Great! Another piece of advice, which one do you recommend, ATI or NVidia? I am presently watching an Albatron 7900GS 256 MB DDR3 on auction. Is this good to go? I intend to use this hackintosh mostly for Final Cut Express HD.
Thanks

Hi Kenji, Yeah, 7900GS 256 should work just fine, if you really want to go for it (and feeling brave), then it can be flashed to Quadro FX 3500 too! I have done a number of these cards for people. I would certainly recommend Nvidia, as there is more support for them for hackintoshes.

Hi aquamac
I ordered the parts! I hope it will be delivered soon. I can't wait to start building this "Ninjatosh" of mine. I went to 2.4 Ghz Core2Duo E4600, Gigabyte Motherboard (GA-945GCM-S2L) and 2 X 1 GB PC6400 SDRAM2 (800 Mhz). I hope I can get the 7900GS Nvidia card. I already have 2 X 250GB SATA drives and Lite-On Dual Layer DVD drive. Yahoooo!
Update: I got a very good deal on an ASUS N6800GT 256 MB DDR3 Extreme so I went for it!

That E4600 should overclock nicely as well - I'm running an E4300 (stock 1.8GHz) at 3.0GHz fully stable.
