Hello! A Hackintosh New Year to All!
Hi, I am planning to join the Hackintosh wagon after seeing aquamac's Hackintosh in a MacPro case! wahhhhhhhh.... aquamac, you are a genius! Anyway, I have already downloaded Kalyway 10.5.1. Can I use this in a P4 3.0 GHz Northwood (SSE2)? I only see people using Core2 Duo processors. You see, I already have a MacPro Quad core with 2T storage and 4 GB RAM as my main Mac, so as much as possible, I don't want to spend more on a Hackintosh.. just use my existing hardware
Here is the list: Pentium 4 3.0 GHz Socket 478 ECS Motherboard with SATA controller GeForce 6200 AGP card 2 GB RAM Lite-on DVD Dual Layer DVD burner.
Thank you

Certainly you should be fine to use on that pentium 4 as Kalyway is SSE2 only aware. I don't know your motherboard, but you may have to change some bios settings in the HDD section to AHCI (if it has any). The best way is to give it a try.

Hi aquamac, I finally decided to go Core2Duo for better compatibility. I'm now on the look-out for the best deal on parts and is doing extensive reading about hackintosh. I'll be using a Quicksilver case I have right now. ;D
