Excellent news on the G80 success!
I'm now in gainful employment and should soon be in a position to buy a new card for my iHack. Do you think a 8600GT can be made to work?

Hi Ritalin,
I do not have a 8600GT to try unfortunately, the people who tried it said it did not work so far. This is working on 8800 GTS 320 & 8800 GTX 768 so far. There is a downside, you have to plug in the monitors after you have booted to the desktop otherwise you get a black screen. If you do this however, everything works fine, dual screens etc.

Here is a pic of it installed in my Quad Core Hackie, the Zalman next door was the experimental computer that the G80 first resided in.

Good news,
I just installed Leopard OSX 86 9a559 and my 8800 GTX (flashed to Quadro) is fully supported. You no longer have to hotplug the monitors, it boots up with both screens working & full acceleration. So full support for 8800 GTX in Leo (before Apple have got a card out).

Would this work on an EVGA 8800 GTS 512mb?
