Hello,
i'm new here and so i have a stupid question: Work these ROMs in a original Mac Pro too? Can i flash a card for my Mac Pro? Or work these hacks only for Hack Pros?

These roms are only for Hackintoshes at the moment. Mac Pros require EFI roms.

First of all, aquamac, I would like to thank you for doing all this work with NVIDIA roms. I really appreciate your efforts and thanks for keeping up this wonderful website.
I am working with 3D a lot and using Windows (I sort of forced to use it, so I don't have much choice). My company recently bought me a new PC with Core Duo, 2Gb RAM, etc... and a GeForce 8600 GT. I really need a professional graphics card for my work, Quadro FX is the one I need, but I can't get one costing so much $$$ (4500 costs $1200 and more, 5500 is $2500 and up).
Is there a way to flash my GeForce 8600 GT 256MB and turn it into one of the Quadro FX cards just like you have done with the cards you have on your ROM repository page?
I will gladly dump the ROM and send it to you if it is possible. Thank you for your efforts again, keep up the good work!

Hi there and welcome to aquamac forums. To be perfectly honest, I have never owned a 8600GT so I am not absolutely sure. There was certainly some difficulty with the 8800 GTS but the 8800 GTX seems to work. You could send me your rom and I can have a look, but we will be covering new ground. My email is on my website.

I noticed that you have a rom for my 7900GT 256mb card on your site. My concern was when I open it in Nibitor, it says its for AGP cards homepage.mac.com/steve.smedley/.Public/Quadrofx55.rom.zip. Can I ignore that info, or should I download another version for my Quadro conversion. I also have a BFG 7800GT with 256mb. Is it possible to flash it to a Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 256. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks, snakeman |

The rom for the 7900GT worked perfect thanks for posting them on your site.
Did anyone get a 7800GT 256mb card flashed to FX 4500 status?
