Oh man.. I'm never running out of problems. Next simple problem: With my 6800Ultra equiped, my QS always stops booting after upgrading to 10.5. Everytime I try to start, the spinnig circle below the apple logo freezes after a few secons, then nothing happens. Now I'm using a Radeon 9000pro origanaly from a MDD. This works without any problems!!! Hmmm...any suggestions? greetz carrocka

Ok..fixed the prob by myself, or better the problem fixed itself. It only took 5-6 minutes to boot. Strange, but now it works

Hi Carroca,
I have not had time to look yet, but it seems that Leo has problems with some flashed Nvidia cards. 7800GS seems to give the same results. I will try and have a look at the weekend when I have more time.

The Problem lie in the GPU & Case sensor. Removing the HW sensor at the end of the rom will fix this.

I installed Leo on an MDD with 7800GT and there is about a 2 min stall at the end of the grey Apple screen. This may in fact be as originalmcnut says (by the way welcome to the aquamac forums originalmacnut - I have seen you around some of the other forums too). Is it possible to put up an image of the offending piece of code in the rom that needs removing? Or is it possible to remove or change a kext in Leo to stop this problem?

The problem Lie in Leopard waiting for the sensors to come online. Now this Fix doesn't work for every card, I have a Friends PNY 6800 GS that I can't working. He's stuck with the Freeze at boot if he wants Leo installed.
Gotoh Has posted a Rom fix. for everyone. at elite wiki or you can go into the rom and remove it.
It's located at the very end of the rom. I'll Post Image of code to remove, Photobucket is down at the Moment.
Thank you for the Warm welcome. ;D

Yikes, maybe this is why i am waiting for the initial bugs to be worked out. I'm waiting for at least 10.5.1 or 2 to come out first before i throw it on my sawtooth with my 5200. And if my 6200 shows the same symptoms, i am going to be p**sed.
oh, and welcome to the forums originalmacnut.

Link to Wiki For gotoh 6800 Fix & 7800 Fix themacelite.wikidot.com/wikidownloadsI now Apple knows about the Problem, as it is happening with Apple OEM Cards as well. The Freeze only effects the G4's. Don't know why? I do have a Fixed 6200 Rom is you need it, also, The 5200 does not suffer from this delay. Be careful with the 7800 series, as there Fan speed is controlled also. If the Fan stops, Further editing is needed. Aslo, the 7800 Fan setting is reverst, if you set it at 70% Fan speed in rom, the real speed is 30% I just set it at 50% manually in Rom to be on the safe side. Here's The Code that Need Removed.

I can Confirm that Removing AppleHWsensor.kext Fixes the Boot Hang.
I just Tried it on my Cousin G4, with a 7800 & 6800.
No Rom editing is involved with this.
