What does it mean when my fonts do this? I heard it was the arial font but there is none on my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated on fixing this problem. I see this on some of my websites i go to.

JJ,
What browser are you using? Looks like it does not understand apostrophes. Could be some coruption in a font file. Have you added any other fonts or changed the default fonts.

that was taken using safari (newest). all my other browsers, netscape, camino, IE 5 see these pages fine. Just safari doesn't. as for fonts, the originals are not touched, but i have added several other fonts for use with photoshop and word. Maybe there might be some corruption withing the fonts?

i won't use firefox. too many loopholes in the programming. But i found something out. The marks i saw, well, they don't show up in the higher blog, so i think it might be a glitch. The pic i posted shows the hyphens missing, but the rest of them i see. Like i said, i think it's a glitch.
