So I recently upgraded my MDD's video card from the stock R9000 to a GF4Ti (thanks again Steve!), and have wondered about just how much heat this thing is adding to my system (I'm sure the GF4Ti runs a lot hotter than the R900). I've considered getting little heatsinks to add to the video RAM chips...has anyone tried this on their own graphics card? If so, was it worth it?

I did that once to an Asus Nvidia 5200 in one of my PC's awhile back. All it had was a stock heatsink without a fan. That thing got really hot that it burned my finger to the touch. I went out and purchased an Iceberg GPU cooler fan with ramsinks. After that the card ran about 10% faster because it wasn't overheating as badly. That really helped with the GPU and the ram it had. Now i don't know if it will be the same result, but i suggest it might be a good idea to try. Just so your video card lasts a little longer.
