product number is 820-1153-01 notice the number ends in a number instead of a letter.. so the board is pre-production Gigabit ethernet.. It has a whold bunch of extra headers, ports and led's.. Led's for the ethernet port, a floppy connector, a IR port like that on a powerbook, a firewire hearder and power block like a B&W, lots of wierd stuff.. yes, i know the pic is fuzzy, but if it's worth it, someone is selling one. if anybody knows anything about this, please, let me know.

Holy crap, where did you find that? eBay? If you can, I'd recommend snagging it - it's a cool collectors item and who knows? If you can find a case for it you may be able to even get it working again...
My only question is, aren't pre-production motherboards supposed to be colored red? Or am I thinking of just hardware prototypes?

It was being hosted for sale on usedmac.ca but i just got an email from the gentleman, it was sold months ago. But still, any more info on how these came about and what it's specs are would still be nice.

Could you possibly contact the buyer through the person who originally sold it?
BTW, is it me, or do the top two RAM slots not have securing tabs on them?

if you wanted, you could try to contact the new buyer through the original owner. here is the ad if you wanted to find out. i'm surprised the ad is still up... www.usedmac.ca/detail.php?siteid=1164and yes, you are seeing it right, the top two memory clips are missing, and if you look hard enough, you will also see the secondary ide is desoldered also to fit a large 133 processor.
