I picked up an un-branded (on the card) 7800GS with 5.70.02.46.01 BIOS. Looks just like the stock nvidia photos so I went for it.
I've tried two of the 3 ROMS on wikidownloads2. Both give me massive artifacting on the MDD while booting. If I flash back to the stock ROM and boot the PC mobo with my 7800gs it displays BIOS and FreeDOS text no problem.
Do I have a bad 7800gs that only shows in OSX or do I have weird memory timings? I am willing to share the stock ROM if someone more versed in these ROMs would like to take a look?
Currently I'm using the NV ROM mac elite wiki to compare files in HxD, softstraps are updated in my new hybrid rom but the timing tables don't match size for size and I'm not yet willing to change that much of the ROM memory space without better understanding what is going on. Any help would be hugely appreciated!!
