Hi AquaMac,
Is there a way to get DVI to HDMI to work using 9800GTX+ card? I am using 10.6.5 SL.
Thank you.

Hi, If you are using an DVI to HDMI adapter, it should work fine, are you saying you have tried and it is not working?

Hi, If you are using an DVI to HDMI adapter, it should work fine, are you saying you have tried and it is not working? My card has 2 DIV out and 1 S-Video out and the TV has HDMI in. So I use DIV-HDMI cable so that DVI connects to PC and HDMI connects to TV. I use vanilla install with 10.6.5 update and few modified kexts in E/E folder at EFI partition. I use dsdt.aml with no GFX string in .plist. When I connect the DVI-HDMI cable to TV, I get black screen after apple logo. Are you saying that if I use DVI-DVI cable and use DVI to HDMI adapter will work with no other modification?

im looking for a solution for same thing since 10.6.2
ive got a quadro setup with a display wall(6 fullhd screens)
but u have to use vga dvi cards to get dual screens working with one card due to an issue at nvidias side there is no correct handshake when you connect dvi to hdmi with more than one port at a single card!
its working if you conenct both with dvi to vga maybe u also should change your nvcap value to dvi vga

I have the same card and the same problem, when I boot with my TV connected via a DVI - HDMI cable I get a black screen. Computer boots OK when I connect a VGA screen. I was using EFI strings with 10.6.3 but had to move to Graphics enabler / ROM when I had the same problem with the 10.6.4 update. My previous solution was found here :- www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t214129-100.html ( Skyhack ) I tried going back to EFI strings but no go.
