hi i am really considering buying a mac pro case off ebay and building my own hackintosh since my imac just died and applecare is done and it would be better cost wise to build a hackintosh then pay for repairs for older imac
well to get to my point i have been saving up and a hackintosh build would serve as my mac and dual boot if possible windows 7 for gaming since i am a big star wars fan and would love to play the old republic game once its released
i am hoping to not spend over $1500 but am flexible to go over a bit but i want a future proof and hopefully upgradeable parts as time goes on and if i have to go a bit over $2000 then i will is that estimate realistic? and would the hackintosh run in 64bit or not possible? and are hackintosh builds spec and preformance wise close to real mac pros?

Your budget is fine I'd have thought, you'll find your hack will out perform the Mac Pro of the year the case was made, any i7 based hack will scream for years! post lots of photos, I'm sure we'll help where ever we can.
