Hi!
I've been using my hackintosh for a year now, and I'm very happy about it. I would now like to go from 2 to 4 monitors. My current motherboard only has 1 SLI slot, so I found myself a cheap secondhand pc that I will merge with my current setup. I'll get this pc in a week or so. The new motherboard is an ASUS P5E3 Deluxe. This "new" PC includes a nvidia 295, but since this a dual GPU card, I don't have high hopes to get this working with another card in OSX.
These are my options:
- try to get the 295 to work with another card, which means 3 GPU's. I have little hope to get this working, and it will probably use way too much power.
- Keep my old 8800GT, and buy an extra 8600 or something.
- Sell the 295GTX, and get 2 new videocards like the 240/250/260
So basically, my question is, do you think my 8800GT will work together with a 8600. OR if I were to buy 2 new cards costing ~400usd in total maximum, which ones would you recommend for the best compatibility with a hackintosh.
Reinout
