The minimum nVidia video card for 10.6 (any version) which is operated in 32-bit mode is a 7000 series, specifically a 7200GS, or equal. However, 10.6 boots into 64-bit mode by default, therefore the arch=i386 flag must be forced, to ensure booting in 32-bit mode with these cards.
The minimum nVidia video card for 10.6 (any version) which is operated in 64-bit mode is an 8000 series, specifically an 8400GS, or equal, or better. 32-bit mode may be forced, at the user's option, but it is not generally necessary as it is with the 7000 series video cards.
A modern DSDT need not specify the particulars of the video card, but if this specification is desired, it must be accurate, particularly as to the card's VRAM capacity. It is OK to specify too small a VRAM capacity, say, 128 MB when the card's actual capacity is 256 MB, but the reverse is not acceptable.
