I've been eying some of the really nice cases on the homepage, and I really like some of the fabricated metal pieces used. This back panel: www.s155158671.websitehome.co.uk/Resources/backplate2.jpeg is exactly what I'd like to use in my case (for a different motherboard). How does one go about getting a piece like that made? Are you just intense hobbyists who have the metal fabricating machines, do you go to a shop with plans and have them do it? I'm really interested in getting a piece like that made for me and I'm curious to know how much it should cost.

Hi macandcheese, Have been so busy at work recently, I have not been able to visit the forums so much. The back plate that I made for that project, I made myself at work at lunch times over a fairly long period. We have a small amount of metal fabrication at work but to be honest not much as we make upholstery. If you don't have folding or welding equipment then the best bet would be to make a drawing and take it to a small metal fabricators, make sure you get a price first though. Most towns in the UK have a few. I used one when I got these made: I had to get 20 made but I sold most of the others which basically paid for the couple that I wanted. If you literally want a one off, then it will be more expensive. However, if you get a number made that can fit a popular choice of motherboard, I dare say you could sell a few to help pay for your project.
