Aquamac is it possible to use the rom for the 7900GTX that is provided on your site?
Thanks

tapps,
Can you tell mew a little bit about your hardware? Are you trying to use a 7900GTX in a real mac pro?

Hi,
thanks for the answer. Yes I want to use the card in a mac pro 2.66 GHz. I am waiting for the pci e power cable.
I installed the card and it work under windows if the driver was loaded. But I cant saw the boot process (maybe a problem that there is no efi bios installed on the card).
The card comes from an XPS600 and has the same layout than the other 7900GTX 512MB on the market.
May be there is a way to flash the card that I can use it for Bootcamp and OSX, it would be great to get some help, because Iam not so familier with this.
Cheers tapps

Hi tapps,
The EFI bios requires a 128 kb rom to be fitted to the card for starters. Then the rom code will need changing to suit your card. Whilst I am more familier with PPC & PC bios code, the new EFI codes are different. My biggest problem is that I do not have a mac pro, which is really neccessary for testing. Getting a new rom for a card can take 50 or so tests being switched from a PC for flashing then back to mac. I have been sent a PC Quadro FX 4500 to do a chip change & flash an EFI rom onto it, if that works (I have to drive it 80 miles to test), then a will feel more confident. I will let you all know if I am successful.
Regards,
Steve.

For Hackintosh-Yes. For Mac Pro-no. Not yet anyway. If I can get the Quadro FX 4500 to work then maybe.
