I have heard from 4 sources already this week that Intel is going to die out. I am wondering if this is really true since i have scoured the web and have come up with nothing. Is there anyone else out there that has heard the same story? Or are my sources coming up a little short?

JJ, When you say intel, do you mean the company itself, or the chips used in Apple computers?

All of it. Intel itself. Be it the P4's, Intel with Mac, the socket T's (775). They say that Intel is soon to be dead. No more, non existant, belly up.
Like i said, is this true?

Have to say, sounds pretty extreme to me!! I know Dell are going to use AMD chips in some of their servers for the first time, but I would have thought Intell have global domination. Still big companies have gone before, how reliable is your info?
