..just downloading the combo update - 759MB. Pretty big.
Will be interesting to see how easy this goes on given I recently ditched the Badaxe2 in favour of a GA-EP45-UD3R.

Just got 10.5.8 running using the combo update Pretty easy install. I (as always) hit netkas' site for a how to and grabbed the latest dsmos.kext per his suggestions and off I went. No scripts to run in the background or anything. The only issue I had was that my sound was borked (again). If your system is like mine (alc 889a) make sure you have a pre-10.5.7 AppleHDA.kext to get it going again. Other than that the install was a breeze! There were a few scary moments when it seemed like Chameleon 2 (RC2, very nice) was stuck in a loop but that sorted itself. All in all I'm very pleased.

Didn't bother with Netkas' updated dsmos.kext - just made sure I had a current backup and ran the combo updater. Two reboots and its all good - no probs with sound, network, anything. Great!
