Hi Aquamac - hope everyone's cool - here's my first post!
I've just completed a fresh 10.5.7 install onto my P5Q PRO board. It went pretty well and everything seems to be working well.
EXCEPT - Everytime I bring hackintosh out of sleep mode (mouse click) the screen has darkened. I reboot and its back to how it should be....
Bit stumped on this myself - any suggestions?
Also what's dsmos.kext and smbios.kext and smbios.plist - should I be using these?
Anyway beautiful sun here in London today so leaving now to go out and enjoy for a while....
laters,
Dave

Not sure about where to adjust brightness in Preferences - no options given. I was interestingly reading a thread somewhere that mentioned an option that was something down the lines of "reduce brightness before sleep" in System Preferences - Energy Saver. Not present in my hackintosh though - probably only a MBP option though.
That's why I was also asking about the smbios.plist that many threads mention since it is here that the Mac Model can be specified...
Clutching at straws though...
Thanks for the smbios.kext looks pretty similar to my existing one...

So I'm still stuck on this. The screen loses its brightness just before sleep (about half a second after clicking sleep). When it comes out of sleep its back to how it was half a second before sleeping. I reinstalled on to USB drive however it didn't happen there. Trying to avoid reinstalling since its such a pain. Uninstalled many unrequired kexts but doesn't appear to be kext related. What else can I check?
