I know everyone hates these questions, but will this work? I might in the near future get my hands on some money and i was thinking of a new build. here are the specs of the parts i will be getting. *New -Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R w/ DualDDR2 1200, 7.1 Audio, Dual GB Lan, 1394, PCI-E x16 CrossFireX-Intel Coreā¢2 Duo Processor E7300 2.66GHz w/ 3MB Cache*New -SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 PCI-E w/ Dual DVI, HDTV-Out, HDMI-Patriot Extreme Performance Viper Series DDR2 4GB (2 x 2GB) PC2-8500 Enhanced Latency Dual Channel Kit-SEAGATE 500GB Barracuda 7200.11 SATA II w/ NCQ, 32MB Cache-Zalman CNPS9500 AT Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler for Socket 775*New -Pioneer DVR-216D DL DVD SATA BurnerAnd a new part that will be bought hopefully sooner than the system build... -EFIXI didn't want to go over $1000 CND with this build so these are the parts i was looking at. I also might get a SATA DVD burner too but that is debatable right now. Also later in time i will get another memory pair to boost everything to 8 GB. For PC Gaming, these specs will kick a**, but i also wanted these specs to be comparable between an iMac and Mac Pro. Comments ideas are welcome. *Edit*Some different parts are going to be used instead and the introduction of a new piece.

Redd, Looks good to me. The only addition I would add is the S-ATA DVD burner. If memory serves Leo doesn't like IDE drives to much so if you can swing it I wouldn't hold off. Plus it makes the cable management sooo much easier. Just my $.02.

I was defiantly thinking SATA DVD, but which ones will be really good with Leopard? I had a Ben-Q burner and it caused nothing but problems on my QS 2002. I am thinking the Pioneer DVR-216D, but what about some others? Asus, LG, Liteon, NEC, or Samsung? (these are my other options)

Well, I'm a few generations behind but my Pioneer DVR-212 DBK has never given me a problem and I think Aqua's running a pair of 215s. So that's my vote but you might look at Sony as well. I believe that is who Apple uses for their OEM drives in the Mac Pro.

Yeah, i did a little searching, and i found that some of the Mac Pro's use a Sony DW-D150A. Each store i look into don't sell Sony drives, so i guess Pioneer it is then. At least i know they are new.
